The Reason for Prophets

One of the first chapters I read in the Bible after my conversion was Ezekiel 33. In it I found what God thought about watchmen who gave or did not give the warnings. The purpose for Ezekiel was to give a warning to the children of Israel. If he did not, God would require their blood at his hand. "In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light-bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import,--the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels' messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention." (Ev 119.3). As it was the purpose of the prophets to give a warning, so it is for Seventh-day Adventists. Those of us who have been changed by the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy have a solemn work to warn the world. That is why I have entitled this blog what it is, and I will post the things that I have learned to provide warning and encouragement. Due to the light given me, I have a responsibility to others, and I intend to be clean from the blood of all men.
